Optimize Your Look:
Welcome to Kent of Inglewood's new beard care blog series, focused on beards! This series is going to cover everything you need to attain a great beard, from washing to styling and everything in-between. Todays blog we talk about knowing your beard, face shape, and style.
Before we get into how to shape and style your beard lets talk about how your facial hair looks and grows. The beards we see online are rarely attainable for most of us. The fullness of a beard is the most important aspect when considering style.
Beard Fullness
Fullness doesn't determine whether you can grow a great beard or not. It just means that your beard will grow how it grows and in order to optimize your own beard and desired look we will have to consider what works best for how full your beard comes in and what kind of look will compliment that. Throughout this blog series, we are going to provide tips and simple strategies for you to be able to enjoy having a happy, healthy and well cared for beard wether you have a fuller or thinner beard profile. So, cozy up, grab your Kent of Inglewood Boar Bristle Beard Brush and a note pad and lets dig in!
Face Shape
The second most important aspect of styling and shaping your beard is considering your face and head shape. These 2 elements can be the difference between a nice beard and a stellar beard. For oval or round face shapes, having a more square shaped beard can give you more symmetry to a rounder shaped face. This is me for sure. the most I drift from this square style is the ducktail style. We will discuss this style further in a later blog focused more on style options.
If you have a square or rectangle face and head shape, consider a more pointed beard (not too pointy) but by elongating the beard at the chin, you can get a tapered, sharp looking beard.
I hope you enjoyed this intro to our new blog series talking about beard care! Stay tuned next week as we dive deeper into optimizing your look with how to shape your beard using 2 tricks!
