  • Kent of Inglewood Ingrown Hair Serum: Every Shaver's Best Friend

by Nathan Gareau Last updated: April 03, 2023

If you’ve ever shaved (face, legs, anything), chances are you’ve had an ingrown hair. And if you’ve ever had an ingrown hair, you know how much they suck.

There are a few different causes of ingrown hairs. A lack of exfoliation can lead to a buildup of dead-skin in the follicle, which traps the hair. A dull blade can pull the hair while it cuts, creating a spear that can pierce into the skin, much like a sliver. A cartridge with too many blades can push the hair sideways inside the follicle, causing it to grow under the skin. Finally, for some folks, shaving too closely against the grain can cause them.

By using a sharp blade and a shaving brush, the majority of ingrowns can be avoided completely. The action of the brush lifts the hairs away from the skin and exfoliates, while a sharp blade cuts cleanly and won’t create the sharpened hairs that dig into the skin. When I switched to a safety razor and badger-hair brush, it was a world of difference. The switch to better gear also cleared up most of my other shaving irritation.

All that said, even folks who follow our advice and use a safety razor and brush can still get ingrown hairs. I know I do sometimes. What’s the solution? Let me introduce you to Kent of Inglewood Ingrown Hair Serum.

Our magic formula is composed of 100% natural ingredients that disinfect, soothe irritation, and prevent further infection. Witch hazel and tea tree oil are both natural disinfectants that will kill any nasty bacteria that are present. Once those tough-as-nails heroes have fought off the infection, aloe-vera and avocado oil swoop in to clean up the mess. Aloe vera soothes inflammation and irritation, while the avocado oil gets to work helping your skin heal.

This fearsome foursome comes conveniently packaged in a 10ml roll-on tube. When ingrown hairs roll into town, simply shake up the bottle, roll it into the affected area and wait. Your irritation will clear up throughout the day, and by the next day you’ll barely notice that they were ever there.

Shaving irritation isn’t a necessary evil, we have the solution. Kent of Inglewood Ingrown Hair Serum is available in all Kent of Inglewood stores and online for only $10.
